Questions

Getting started

What is SimplyStream?

SimplyStream turns an Unreal Engine game into a link. The game runs in the player’s browser on their own GPU, with cloud streaming for devices that can’t run it. Strata, the agent inside SimplyStream, builds your project for the web, checks it on real GPUs and ships it.

How do I start?

Sign up free, then either paste the prompt from our home page into your coding agent, or install the Strata command line tool and push your project. Start with Strata

Do I need a special engine or SDK?

No. Keep the Unreal editor you already use, or work without one: Strata builds your project on its own machines.

Which engines are supported?

Unreal Engine 5.8 on every plan, and Unreal Engine 6 on paid plans (it comes to Free on June 1, 2027). Unity support is early; write to us if you want to try it.

Billing

How does pricing work?

Running a game in the player’s browser costs nothing per minute, on every plan. Cloud streaming is billed per minute at the rate of the GPU a session uses. Plans differ in Strata runs, seats and support. See pricing

Is there a free trial?

The Free plan has no monthly fee and two Strata runs a day, and verifying your email adds $10 of credits for cloud streaming.

Where do I manage my plan?

In the dashboard, under Billing. You can change plans, see usage and update your card there. Open the dashboard

Players and technical

What do players need?

A modern browser and a link. When a device can’t run the game itself, the same link can fall back to cloud streaming, if you have turned it on.

Can I make a multiplayer game?

Yes. Unreal dedicated servers run on SimplyStream too, compiled to WebAssembly, and browser players connect over WebSocket, WebRTC or WebTransport. Ask us to turn on server builds for your project.

Is there an API?

Yes, a REST API authenticated with your account key, for projects, builds and sessions. API reference

Write to us

A person reads every message and replies by email. Tell us what you are building and which Unreal version, and include the play link if a build is misbehaving.
